What is Mat Pilates?

At Vie, we offer heated mat as well as non-heated mat classes. These classes combine core-strengthening, flexibility-boosting benefits and are full-body, low-impact workouts focused on controlled movements, breathwork, and proper alignment. 

The heated classes offer the warmth that encourages detoxification through sweat, leaving you feeling lighter, more energized, and deeply rejuvenated. They will also help improve muscle elasticity and enhance flexibility—making it easier to move deeper into each exercise while reducing the risk of injury.

At our studio, our mat classes are designed for all levels, offering a mindful yet challenging practice that will leave you stronger, more flexible, and centered inside and out.

An introduction to the reformer —

Perfect for those who have never done Pilates before or new to Pilates. With the guidance of our experienced instructors, our foundations class focuses on technique and breathing, giving you ample opportunity to acquaint yourself with the Pilates method. This is a full-body workout that emphasizes muscle control, balance and coordination. You'll discover and activate previously untapped muscles while refining your mind-body connection.

 

Intensity: Moderate to low intensity burn, depending on desired level
